Load in Idea
Whilst trying to think seriously regarding the load in
We know that cases can't be left inside the arena, so I think it makes sense to:
Ideally transport kit without cases, and only take the hardware you definitely require or unpack before going into the arena (that may be difficult for those with smaller cars
Personally I am looking to assemble as much in the car as possible, so at the arena, the mat will get thrown out and the kit left on it whilst I park up, then the reverse at the end, once back in the car park, I can pack away fully then

Just to let you know that you will be able to drive to the loading bay doors (of which there are 3) in the arena then it is a short walk across the arena floor to your drumming space.
Great idea carpet down first. In my gigging days i used to roll all my hardware up into my carpet then just roll it out.
Same for load out.

Let's all turn up and unroll our hardware filled rugs.

Re: Load in Idea
Maybe the key it to get the whole kit set up and then roll it up in a rug. That would make the setup very easy indeed!!
