Possibly good news chaps and chappesses

The "Band" that insisted on playing downstairs at the Flapper & Firkin have decided not to do their gig.

Soooooo, We have been asked if we would like to use the Music Bar, which is downstairs and soundproof, for us to have a Jam Jolly?????

I will call Ian a bit later to firm up on the details.

I know amongst our brethren there are some banjo, thick and thin string, players and i think it would be a great laugh to do this.

Great idea, can I go on early, either drumming or singing (maybe) but I doubt I'll be able to stay too long

One of my mates who is taking part is also a great guitarist so I'm sure he'll play. I'm well up for a smash though as I don't really play any other instruments apart from terrible guitar Razz

OK ear's back.

Just spoke to Craig @ the Flapper

They are going to let us use their shell pack and hardware but have ask if us drummers would kindly bring our own snare, cymbals and maybe a bass pedal.

As for the snare, as you may or may not know i have made one recently and need a user test done on it, so i dont mind that being used so i can get some feedback on it, but your welcome to bring your own.

If you are kindly bringing a Guitar could you bring a small say 50watt amp ??? as they dont think they have one but they are looking for one, but i think it might be better if you could kindly bring one.

Bass players, Craig has said he will DI the Bass if that's ok.

They have a full PA system so i think we can manage that ourselves.

Ok i think that's it for the Jam Session but if you need any more info let me know.

Let the Madness commence jocolor

Oh and if they need any help with any sound engineering on sunday night just let me know I'd be happy to help early on before I have a few drinks lol!

I can always bring along my electric guitar if need be as I'm coming up by van so will have tonnes of space. Nothing too fancy - Epiphone SG400 but at least its nothing too expensive so I don't mind people using it! As for drum gear I can provide a single heavy duty mapex bass pedal and if one is required a snare drum (again nothing too fancy - regular Mapex Maple snare).
