Daily Mail
Have a look at this
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1199480/Now-thats-massive-hit-582-drummers-play-way-new-world-record.html
There are some prats who've put comments at the bottom of the report. I have sent in a response but whether it will get throught or it will be edited.

I have just showed this to my mum who is very angry to say the least
She has just put a reply to it (under the name sharon) not sure if they will print it though
I was really proud to be part of this day and agree the report is great I can even see myself in a pic

Re: Daily Mail
I saw that earlier after a colleague showed me.
I have also commented so let's see how many, if any, of our responses actually appear.

Re: Daily Mail
well just checked back and no more comments posted as yet, maybe they won't be on until tomorrow when they have been 'vetted'
Hope they post them though put the views of the people that were actually there instead of just stupid smart a**e comments by the few.

Re: Daily Mail
Yeah, no sign of my response yet. I wrote it then edited myself after refering to Mr Bourke as Mr Berk and suggesting that the arse who said it was a waste of money was a benefit grabber. I self policed myself to tone it down and take those bits out!!!
Re: Daily Mail
LMAO think you got it right with Mr Berk , and where did the waste of money thing come in, no idea what that person was on about

I was going to ask the berk if his giro hadn't turned up. I'm UB40 (jobless) at the Mo but could still manage to donate £10 and Take part. maybe mr Berk needs to start doing for others, the selfish git

Re: Daily Mail
I've posted a comment in response to those guys aswell but I suppose for every 10 people that know we've done something awesome, theres going to be 1 or 2 whos opinion differs which is fine but they put it in a tone that makes them sound like a t#*ser and thats what annoys me.

Re: Daily Mail.
I have posted a reply to those very sad comments. Wonder if that clown wants to put his head in front of my kick pedal. On the other hand, nah, it would be too resonant considering there isnt anything in it to dampen the sound. lol

My Reply to Mr Berk
I've just posted this reply 10:05 17-7-09. Lets see if its published ????
Mr Bourke,
Get your head out from your backside. I was there #62. I have started to do one truly memorable thing each year, Last year I graduated @ 43yrs old, This year I became #62 of the 582. Next year who know's what I'll be doing, probably writing replies to the likes of you! By the way I'm out of work at the moment, but still found the time and money to support this great cause, do you see me complaining, no way, I had a great day and made lots of new like minded friends.

good response though, and much respect to you
Re: Daily Mail
For what it's worth, here's what I wrote on Monday...
David: I'm guessing your comment is tongue in cheek, but from a bass player? C'mon, you're supposed to be a partner-in-crime with your drummer - this is the sort of thing I'd expect from a guitarist or lead singer!
Roger: frustrated drummer by any chance? Just imagine if 600 guitarists all did the same as us. Each of them trying to out-solo the other at ever-increasing volumes.
Malarky: Get a life! We all gave up valuable time from work / school / queueing at the dole office. All it cost was the fuel money to get there, and our own time, effort and sweat to carry our gear in & out. And as for money? To raise over £22,000 so far is an amazing achievement for a worthwhile cause that needs the exposure. Not belittling other diseases, but this one is possibly the most misunderstood - the definition MS is a description of symptoms, not cause, so anything to help stop this is VERY valid.
Let's hope you never suffer. I have family that are, and it's heartbreaking. You loser.
