To be honest the guys i travelled down with and I couldn't sus out what was going on before we started the WR attempt. Someone on stage said something about where was the rep from Guiness and a guy in the crowd said there wasn't anyone there and they'd be sending in a video. Not sure if this was a joke or if it was true, but according to the email uesterday its still not been confirmed yet, despite all the press coverage.

HI guys, it did say on sky news that there were two adudicators there, not sure if it was true but they did say it.
Oh and in one article it said that we had to raise over £100 to enter, that was'nt true.

Had this from the super human organisers:-

Hi Ian

We are currently gathering all the evidence required by Guinness, independent witness statements etc and as you can appreciate this all takes a little time. I can confirm however that we had 582 drummers playing in the attempt and as the current record is 533 I think it's safe to say subject of course to final confirmation from Guinness that we broke the record. Hopefully this information is sufficient to enable your sponsors to pay.

Kind regards

Rick and Karen

Hi, you are quite correct that the charity side has no bearing on the record attempt, though of course the fundraising aspect is very important on a personal basis.

As I understand it, the signing in sheet and video record of the attempt will be sent for adjudication along with I would think signed independent statements.

I'd just like to clarify what needs to happen with Guinness.

It was me that registerd my intent with Guinness to hold an event for the "Largest full drum kit ensemble"

If you wish to have them there there is a fee.. which we could not afford.

I therefore will submit video evidence of the ensemble in action ( I need to edit this to DVD this weekend) and we also need to written statements from our 2 witnesses in this case Hannah Chroston from the MS society and Fred Talbot from ITV.

They will varify that they attended the event and confirm that the registration form was signed by (in our case) 582 Drummers and that every kit met the Guinness minimum requirement.

I will send an email out and post on the site when it is varified by Guinness.

.....or if I have messed upi somewhere I'll be out of the country running from an angry mob of 581 of my fellow record breakists Shocked
